On Saturday, April 27, 2024, Commissioner Woodward presented Mary Gilbert, a longtime resident of District 4, with a certificate of recognition from the Board of County Commissioners in honor of her 100th birthday. Mrs. Gilbert was recognized for her lifetime commitment to community service and social justice.
The presentation of the certificate took place at Edgewater at Boca Pointe in Boca Raton during Mrs. Gilbert’s birthday party. Following the presentation, the commissioner enjoyed meeting and chatting with Mrs. Gilbert’s many friends and family in attendance, including Mrs. Gilbert’s son, Sanford Siegel.
